Introduction to the Censored Cartoons Pages

While the actual blog goes through all the Warner Bros. cartoons that have been edited on American (and sometimes international) television -- both free network TV and pay cable/satellite, there are some cartoons that need to be covered in bulk because they can't be covered on the main blog.

Normally, this would just be The Censored Eleven (as it was on the actual Censored Cartoons Page back when that was active), but I also want to include cartoon shorts with scenes that went missing either during production or theatrical reissue with little to no current evidence that the missing scenes existed, the 12 Bugs Bunny cartoons that were supposed to air on Cartoon Network’s 2001 version of June Bugs, but were banned because of outdated racially offensive content (and how not only were some of them safe to show on TV, both uncut and edited, but how some have become legally available on official releases or shown in other countries), the three cartoons were Porky and Sylvester spend the night somewhere and Sylvester is the only one who sees and experiences the sinister forces that dwell within ("Scaredy Cat" from 1948, "Claws for Alarm" from 1954, and "Jumpin' Jupiter" from 1955), and The Hunter’s Trilogy (the three Chuck Jones-directed cartoons where Daffy tries to get Bugs shot by Elmer during duck season by claiming it’s rabbit season: "Rabbit Fire" from 1951; "Rabbit Seasoning" from 1952; and "Duck! Rabbit! Duck!" from 1953. They're the cartoons people think of when they think of Looney Tunes cartoons).

This page will be updated with all the completed pages linked below.
